Hospitals of Hope's guesthouse is located in the hospital compound on the outskirts of Cochabamba, Bolivia. The guesthouse is run by Tomas and Iris Ortiz. Tomas speaks English fluently. Tomas and Iris take good care of their guests, cooking, planning activities, and helping with whatever other needs they may have.
The guesthouse is designed to hold over thirty guests, some in private rooms with baths and others in dormitory-style rooms, housing up to six. The showers do have hot water. Be sure to bring a converter if you bring any appliances, as Bolivia runs on a 220 volt system.
The guesthouse is only a short walk from the hospital, and guards are posted around the compound 24 hours a day, so safety concerns are negligible. Volunteers have given us overwhelmingly positive feedback about their experience at our guesthouse. We look forward to having you visit.
