For many people, leaving the country is not feasible due to time, money, or other concerns. However, not only does Hospitals of Hope offer volunteer and missions opportunities abroad, it also has many opportunities at our home office in Wichita, Kansas.
Hospitals of Hope is always looking for people willing to assist us in taking inventory, doing secretarial work, working in the warehouse, packing containers, picking up supplies, and completing many other tasks. Hospitals of Hope has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups.
Hospitals of Hope also offers internship opportunities for college students in a variety of fields. See the Internship Description and Application (Word document) for more information.

Fall 2010 Volunteer Opportunities
One of our oingoing projects is getting the warehouse better organized and sorting through medical supplies.
We are also in the process of constructing more "Clinics in Cans"--self-contained medical clinics built in shipping containers-- so we are in need of volunteers with experience in construction.

In February, I abandoned my comfortable existence as a fourth year medical student in North Carolina, and traveled to Bolivia, South America for a short term mission trip.
We were saddened to learn that Dr. Richard Kowalske, who used to work at our clinic in Bolivia, has died from malaria after returning from Uganda. He was a great man of God, and he will be sorely missed.
