Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, with over half of its people living in abject poverty. The need in Haiti is especially dire now, in the wake of January's earthquake. Hospitals of Hope began work in Haiti in 2004, with our "Clinic in a Can"-- a mobile medical/dental clinic-- and we are sending 5 more Clinics in a Can this year, in response to the earthquake.
We will again be sending a team of volunteers to Haiti in Summer 2010. We will be working with Global Vision Citadelle Ministries, sending volunteers to work in orphanages and do health clinics.
When: Mid-August 2010
Where: Haiti
Trip Length: 10 days
Estimated cost: $ 1,200
