Thanks to all who came out to the 2nd annual Concert of Hope on October 16, 2009 at Maranatha Worship Center in Wichita. This year’s concert featured popular Christian band Waterdeep, talented singer/songwriter Justin McRoberts, and SHEL, a Colorado-based, “neo acoustic” quartet.

In February, I abandoned my comfortable existence as a fourth year medical student in North Carolina, and traveled to Bolivia, South America for a short term mission trip.
We were saddened to learn that Dr. Richard Kowalske, who used to work at our clinic in Bolivia, has died from malaria after returning from Uganda. He was a great man of God, and he will be sorely missed.As I write this, I'm sitting in the dining room of the HOH guest house in Vinto, Bolivia.
