Hospitals of Hope is dedicated to bringing about transformative change in Liberia's healthcare landscape. We have focused on enhancing healthcare by providing essential equipment, training medical staff, and delivering compassionate patient care.
In our initial years, we concentrated our efforts on JFK Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia's largest government hospital. JFK faced critical equipment shortages, and we responded by donating $1.1 million worth of medical equipment to bolster its capacity.
As our journey in Liberia unfolded, we shifted our focus to ELWA (Eternal Love Winning Africa), a longstanding ministry in Liberia. ELWA, though respected, grapples with limited resources and an overwhelming patient load, with one doctor for every 28,000 people in Liberia. We have been working closely with ELWA to meet these challenges, sending volunteer teams, partnering with the Brother's Brother Foundation to provide necessary equipment, and aiding in plans to expand their existing hospital, which is in need of modernization and growth. Our commitment to Liberia reflects our dedication to improving healthcare access and changing lives for the better.
